Woodworking Summer CampEight days of camp with a fun introduction to woodworking for, boys and girls who are 6-8 and
9-14 years old and are interested in finding out more about the art of woodworking and related fields.
Summer Camp attendees
will build at least two projects, which will be selected based upon the experience of the students. They’ll learn to
use tools and techniques, and will leave with some pieces they’ll be pleased with.
Groups are small so student
get individual attention. They’ll ask questions and get answers; and they’ll enjoy the process.
Participants will:
• Learn the art of woodworking by doing woodworking.
• Design and create a variety of wooden projects.
• Learn shop safety
procedures.
• Use common and specialty woodworking tools.
• Understand
various processes and methods used in woodworking.
• Make their own artistic creation or choose
an existing one as a class project.
• Complete a variety of projects that will be taken home.
• Make connections to several different types of science, engineering, and manufacturing concepts.
• Be able to make more informed decisions about their future educational options.
Ages
6-8: One-week program. Monday through Friday, 9am-12pm

The Camp will be held at Javier Santiago Studio
Ages 6-8 Cost: $250. (which covers materials)
Ages 9-14 Cost: $350. (which covers materials)
Minimum
# of participants: 5 Maximum # of participants: 8.
Participants will be responsible for providing
their own snacks and lunches.

Participants may sign up for one or two weeks.
